From Monday, May 15th, to Sunday, May 21st, 19 students from the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Palermo were guests of Albergo Diffuso Borgo Soandri for a study residency.

The participants had the opportunity to visit the village and the local woodworking companies, as well as to get a closer look at the work of Architect Gino Valle: a great master of Italian architecture. Between the 1950s and 1980s, he created some of his most significant works in Carnia, the land of his family’s origin.

On Sunday, May 21st, the students shared the inspirations and ideas gathered during the week in a public meeting attended by architects from Friuli Venezia Giulia who work throughout Italy.

The initiative is a collaboration with the Department of Architecture (#DARCH) and is part of the activities planned under the BOB (Bosco nel Borgo) call.
