WHERE WE ARE
Sutrio is located in Carnia, in the province of Udine in Friuli Venezia Giulia.
It is a small mountain village 23 km from Austria (Monte Croce Carnico Pass, Paluzza) and 10 km from Zoncolan. The nearest city is Udine, which is 60 km away; the nearest highway exit is Carnia-Tolmezzo, 23 km away.
HOW TO GET TO SUTRIO
By car
From Venice-Trieste, take the Venice-Trieste highway. Continue on A23 towards Udine-Tarvisio and exit at the Carnia-Tolmezzo exit. Continue on the SS52bis state road until you reach Sutrio.
From Tarvisio, take the Udine-Tarvisio highway.
Exit at Carnia-Tolmezzo and continue on the SS52bis state road until you reach Sutrio.
From Veneto, there are two main routes: one from Cadore, through Sappada, and the other from the Mauria Pass, through SS52 for those coming from Belluno or Cortina.
By bus

By train
From any direction in Italy, you can reach Udine or Carnia railway stations.
From Carnia, take the regional bus to Tolmezzo and change for Sutrio.
From Udine, take a connecting regional bus (via the direct highway route) to Tolmezzo and then change at Tolmezzo for Sutrio.
